About me
Been brought up bilingually with both German and French, my dream was always to work with languages professionally. I now work as a freelance conference interpreter based in Brussels and interpret from English, French, and Spanish into German and from German into French and English.
I hold a European Masters in Conference Interpreting from the University of La Laguna, Spain (EMCI, a network of European Masters degrees supported by the European Commission) as well a degree in translation from the Institut Libre Marie Haps (ILMH) in Brussels. Time spent living abroad has allowed me to consolidate my different working languages.
I cover a wide range of topics in my interpretation and translation work. My areas of specialism include social sciences (European Masters in Labour Studies, UCL, 2005), agriculture (staff interpreter and translator for the European Milk Board, Brussels), and EU policy (advisor for Europe Direct, European Commission information service, 2005-2006).
If you are organising an international congress, a conference or seminar, or are inviting an international speaker to any event, I can provide a tailor-made interpretation service to meet your needs, whatever the topic.
Do not hesitate to get in touch for any additional information or a quote. Confidentiality and discretion come as standard.
Sincerely,
Astrid Sauvage
